Important Update About the Aluminum Licensing Requirement

The United States Department of Commerce has published a notice in the Federal Register responding to comments about the Aluminum Import Monitoring and Analysis (AIM) system and confirming that the stay of the regulations entitled “Aluminum Import Monitoring and Analysis System” will be lifted on June 28, 2021. This means that aluminum import licenses will be required for entries of covered aluminum products beginning on June 28, 2021.
